Thirty years as a CEO. A doctorate in leadership identity. Creator of Identity Anchoring®.

About the founder
Dr Clare Allen.
Executive leadership coach and creator of The Inner Executive System.
I know the cost of performing authority rather than carrying it.
I spent three decades in C suite roles, across community, government, infrastructure, and not for profit, and I’ve watched the imposter system run highly capable leaders at every level. Not because they lacked competence. Because their identity was never anchored at the level where it needed to be.
That is what this work addresses.
Dr Clare Allen is an accomplished Non Executive Director and multi award winning CEO with 30 years’ executive leadership experience across government, not for profit, disability, community services, and utilities sectors. She brings to the boardroom a rare combination of deep strategic governance, robust financial oversight, and hands on operational expertise, including oversight of $3B in infrastructure, managing multi billion dollar asset portfolios and complex, regulated organisations.
A proven business turnaround leader, Dr Allen has reversed organisational deficits, tripled revenues, led mergers, and delivered award winning outcomes under significant challenge, including managing $90M+ in flood damage recovery and overseeing a $100M infrastructure duplication project. Her NDIS and community housing expertise, combined with a Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), positions her as a leadership advisor to boards seeking strategic depth, commercial acumen, and authentic governance leadership.
